This standard specifies the technical requirements,test methods,inspection rules,labeling,transport and storage of silicone rubber sealant used in terrestrial photovoltaic modules for sealing frame,bonding junction box and backsheet,potting junction box,sealing bus bar,and bonding back rail of thin-film photovoltaic modules.
This standard is applicable to silicone sealant on assembly of crystalline silicon photovoltaic module and thin-film photovoltaic module.
This standard is not applicable for silicone sealant used in photovoltaic module using triple junction or concentration cells.
